A CST session involves lying, outstretched on a table. The therapist will contact the client’s body using a light butterfly touch. The therapist will sensitively attune to the client’s breath of life/Craniosacral rhythm. Consensually the, therapist will contact other areas of concern that they feel drawn to.
The sessions enable the body to slow down and tune in with itself, giving space for it to reorganize, self-correct, find balance and release trauma, and to restore the auric field. CST provides the body with the safety it needs for the craniosacral process to emerge and to meet the deepest levels of our being. It is a great way to reconcile with yourself and your traumas, gaining a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of yourself.
Every therapist develops their own individual way of working and specific sensitivities. Every session is as unique as the individuals involved and the relationship between them. If you would like more information then feel free to contact me for a free 20 min discovery call and there is no obligation to book.
I offer my clients a warm welcome. Just come as you are in comfortable clothes, also bring an open heart and mind and a willingness to fully engage with the process. This will enable the potential to fully embrace the healing that unfolds. This beautiful work is subtle but the results can be transformational!
CST is suitable for everyone from newly born babies to the elderly.
We all want to feel we are being naturally and authentically ourselves, able to allow our feelings to flow through us, and be empowered to manage them rationally. For me that has been the goal of my therapeutic journey.
Childhood issues, family trauma and my own emotional struggles lead me to heal myself through a range of different therapies. Although each one had an impact, I never found the progress and internal/congruence I was hoping for. I was stuck, disappointed and frustrated.
When I received Craniosacral therapy for the first time, I knew I was onto something special. It helped me to release and process long held trauma stored in my body. My mental health and digestion dramatically improved and I felt a lot calmer and my nervous system felt more regulated. I knew that I needed to train in this beautiful healing art and give to others what had been given to me.

Craniosacral Therapy blends ancient healing traditions with modern science. Its origins trace back to Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, born in 1828 in Virginia. As a young medical student, he assisted his father—also a physician and missionary—on a Kansas reservation, where he observed Native American healing practices.
Among the Shawnee and Cherokee, women elders served as primary healers, using breathwork, bone setting, and energy healing. Their intuitive, hands-on methods emphasized storytelling, deep listening, and restoring balance—much like modern concepts of SomatoEmotional Release (SER), a technique in the Upledger method of Craniosacral Therapy.
This holistic legacy continued through Dr. Still’s osteopathic principles, expanded by William G. Sutherland into cranial work. In the 1950s, Dr. Harold Magoun passed this knowledge to Dr. John Upledger, who formalized Craniosacral Therapy as we know it today.
Today, Craniosacral Therapy remains a gentle, intuitive practice—honoring the body’s wisdom and capacity for healing.
